Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. Cornish is best known for her roles in films as Heidi in Somersault (2004), Fanny Brawne in Bright Star (2009) and as Somersault (2004) Fanny Brawne in Bright Star (2009) Sweet Pea in Sucker Punch (2011) Lindy in Limitless (2011) Clara Murphy in RoboCop (2014) as Sarah as Sarah in Geostorm (2017) as well as for her work with filmmaker Martin McDonagh in Seven Psychopaths (2012) as well as The Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017). Cornish has won her first Screen Actors Guild Award in the ensemble cast of the film. Jack Gilpin starred in Adventureland, (2009) while Ann McDonough was in The Mothman Prophecies and other films. Betty Gilpin made a decision to go into acting because she was able to count on the backing and love from her parents. Fordham College is where Betty Gilpin learned her craft. Gilpin continued to audition for television and film roles while performing in Off Broadway plays. The actress was cast as a frequent character in NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent between the years 2001-2011. It was followed by tiny roles as a ghost on Ghost Town and The Northern Kingdom. Gilpin stayed in TV as a guest actor throughout the following years. In 2013, she got her first break when she had a recurring part in the show Nurse Jackie. Gilpin was a part of Nurse Jackie over 34 episodes as the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin before it ended its run on June 2015. Gilpin was also seen in True Story, a mystery thriller.
