Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd was able to continue building upon her triumph during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She knocked out all her opponents within the first round. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at the catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She won via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimity. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina and then pounded her on the ground to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she won a much more convincing victory during her next fight against Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the opening round. She also received the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. The two fighters had a close fight that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was lost by unanimous verdict.
